The Kappa Epsilon Fraternity is proud to welcome our newest chapter to the Fraternity, The Beta Tau Chapter. The Beta Tau Chapter was recently chartered at the newly accredited University of South Florida, College of Pharmacy. President-Elect Sal Bottiglieri, PharmD, BCOP presided over the chartering ceremony and initiated its 26 chartering members on Friday, February 26, 2016.

The chartering and initiation ceremony was held on a Friday evening where the 26 newly initiated members attended along with their Advisors, other KE faculty members, and their Associate Dean Dr. Angela Hill. The Chapter Advisors include two faculty members of the college and alumni of Kappa Epsilon Fraternity: Olivia Pane, PharmD and Melissa Ruble, PharmD, BCPS. The charter was presented to Chapter President Phoebe Martey at the conclusion of the chartering ceremony. The ceremony was followed by a dinner reception and dessert at the University’s Rotunda.

Beta Tau Chapter has demonstrated tremendous growth and leadership in just one year’s time, since they were established as a colony. The Chapter is expecting an additional 18 new members as they conduct their first rush and pledge periods. The members of Beta Tau have provided significant community outreach with their breast cancer and ovarian cancer projects with much potential for growth with the neighboring Moffitt Cancer Center on campus. In addition they have held several social and fundraising events to ensure continued success of the chapter.

Congratulations to The Beta Tau Chapter and welcome to Kappa Epsilon Professional Pharmacy Fraternity!
