Dr. Jenelle Perkins, PharmD, BCOP

Associate Professor, University of South Florida College of Pharmacy

 

Dr. Perkins received her BSPharm from University of Florida and her PharmD from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She completed an oncology specialty residency at the Audie Murphy VA Hospital in San Antonio TX and then moved back to Florida to take a clinical pharmacist position at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. She remained at Moffitt for the next 25 years, taking on various roles including research associate, full-time faculty within the Blood and Marrow Transplant program and BMT clinical research manager. She has participated as a co-investigator in numerous clinical trials within the BMT program, serving as principal investigator on two prospective interventional trials both of which were funded. Dr. Perkins has recently transitioned into a full time faculty member as an associate professor at the new University of South Florida College of Pharmacy where she coordinates and teaches in courses on Research Methods and Oncology Pharmacotherapeutics. She is also the director of the clinical research pharmacy located in the USF ambulatory care center and serves as one of two chairpersons for the USF Institutional Review Board. She is board certified in Oncology Pharmacotherapy.
