Leadership

She has been Board Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management since 2003, a Certified Diabetes Educator since 2009, and Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist since 2011. To assist patients, Dr. Lindsey has practiced in a wide array of settings. She recently completed her appointment housed at the Clay County Public Health Center (CCPHC) with a joint appointment with the CCPHC and Rodgers Health. In her recent past, she had instituted clinical pharmacy services at the local Veterans Affairs Medical Center and continued to expand her patient outreach with a 14-year presence as director of the patient assistance program at the Shared Care Free Health Clinic of Jackson County until its closure in June 2014. She, along with a dedicated group of students, obtained donated medications from drug companies free of charge with contributions reaching close to $9 million.

Dr. Lindsey started her journey with KE when initiated into Omega in 1993. She served as chapter Treasurer for two years and Convention chapter collegiate delegate. She became Omega chapter advisor since 1999. She served on Grand Council as VP Collegiate from 2001-2003, the Convention Planning Committee 2001-2003, KE Foundation Trustee 2013-2015, KE Foundation Treasurer 2015-2017, and KE Foundation President 2017-2019. She has been recognized as the KE Chapter National Outstanding Advisor of the Year in 2007 and the KE Merck Vanguard Leadership in Pharmacy in 2011.

She received her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from UMKC in 2010. She also received her Bachelors of Science in Biology with a minor in Criminal Justice at the Southeast Missouri State University in 2005. Upon graduation from UMKC, Kristin completed a PGY-1 pharmacy residency at the Kansas City Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Following residency training, Kristin has worked as a clinical staff pharmacist at the University of Missouri Healthcare Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Columbia, Missouri since September of 2011. Currently, Kristin lives in Columbia Missouri.

Kristin’s leadership positions with the Omega Chapter included serving as Treasurer, President, Webmaster and Chaplain. Nationally, she has served as National Project Chair (2009-2011), Alumni-at-Large Delegate (2009), and Omega Chapter Delegate (2011)

Kristin enjoys running, traveling, Celine Dion concerts, and spending time with family and friends. Kristin has also participated on seven medical mission trips to Falmouth, Jamaica serving as the team’s pharmacist. She has completed 24 half marathons and 2 marathons over the last 4 years.

She is presently serving as a Treasurer for the Kappa Epsilon Foundation during the 2017-2019 Biennium.

Upon graduation in 2007, Elena completed a PGY-1 pharmacy residency at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida and a PGY-2 Critical Care residency at the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago. Following residency training, Elena was a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist in Critical Care specializing in Neurology, Neurosurgery and Neurocritical Care at the University of Chicago Medical Center until September 2012. Currently, Elena lives in Tampa, Florida with her husband and son and is enjoying being a full-time wife and mother.

Elena’s leadership positions within the Alpha Omega Chapter included President and Alumni Liaison. Nationally, Elena has served on Grand Council as Secretary (2007-2009), Vice-President of Alumni Development (2009-2011) and Vice-President of Financial Development (2011-2015). She is presently serving as a Trustee for the Kappa Epsilon Foundation.

Elena enjoys music, traveling, spending time with family and friends and cooking and entertaining.

She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2010 and Masters in Business Administration in 2009 from Shenandoah University. She also received her Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in 2006. Sara currently resides in San Francisco, California, and works in Regulatory Affairs at Gilead Sciences, Inc.

Her leadership roles in the Alpha Chi KE Chapter at Shenandoah University included Social Chair, SGA Representative, and Vice President. Nationally, she has served as a member of the KE National Project Committee and on Kappa Epsilon Grand Council as Vice President of Collegiate Development (2011-2013), President Elect (2013-2015), and currently as the Grand President (2015-2017).

In her free time, Sara enjoys traveling, exploring the Bay Area, and spending time with family and friends.

I was initiated into the Alpha Delta Chapter in 1974. I graduated in 1977 and married a Southerner and stayed In Atlanta. I worked retail, hospital, and community pharmacy, while raising two sons. Over the past 20 years, my work focus has been in behavioral health pharmacy in a hospital outside Atlanta.

When my oldest son, decided to attend my alma mater at Mercer and become a pharmacist, I reunited with Alpha Delta delegates and their advisor to attend KE’s 2007 National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina. At Convention, I met several alumni and began an interest in attending the alumni’s cruises, held every other year. My involvement with KE has encouraged me to be a National Liaison. I have enjoyed serving as a National Liaison for the last seven years visiting collegiate chapters and college campuses.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and being with family. I especially like to travel to Alaska to visit my granddaughter and look forward to return trips to New Jersey, where family still resides. Enjoy meeting people, which KE has helped me further develop. Other interests include watching college football, pro football and movies, and swimming and walking.

She received her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Tennessee (GO VOLS!!) and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy in 2007. Following pharmacy school, she completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency and a PGY2 critical care specialty residency at Grady Health System in Atlanta, Georgia. Alissa is currently the Critical Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas, Texas.

Alissa was initiated into the Alpha Delta chapter at Mercer University in 2004. She has served as pledge publicist, chapter social chair, and 1st vice president. Alissa was elected to serve on Grand Council as the Vice President of Membership Recruitment in 2005. She held the position of Vice President of Collegiate Development from 2007 until 2011, and was elected as the President-Elect at the 2011 National Convention.

Alissa enjoys sports, snowboarding, traveling, live music, socializing with friends, and spending time with family. She loves SEC football but will only cheer for the University of Tennessee Volunteers!

I Prior to this, she was at Merck for 25 years where she held various positions of increasing responsibility in Quality, Technology, Procurement, Commercial, Product Development, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Product Strategy, and Business Development. Donna has a BS In Pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy & Science (now the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia) and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Donna’s KE Career began at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science where she was initiated into Omicron chapter and served as Omicron chapter President for two years. She went on to serve at the national level by serving on Grand Council in two offices, serving as a Foundation Board member, co-chairing the National Convention in Philadelphia, and most recently, founding/leading the National Alumni Interest Committee. Donna has been the recipient of multiple KE awards, most notably the Zada Cooper scholarship, the Linda Rodgers award, and the Career Achievement Award.
