Foundation Grants

The Kappa Epsilon Foundation provides individual Kappa Epsilon members and chapters with incentive money for innovative projects in the profession of pharmacy.  The following guidelines will be used for awarding the grants:

  • An initiated KE member in good standing or a chartered chapter in good standing with the Fraternity may apply.
  • There will be no limitation on the number of grants or times a member or chapter can apply.
  • Dollar expenditures will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Two "start-up grants" will be made available up to $500 each year of the biennium.
  • Two "renewal grants" will be made available up to $300 each year of the biennium.
  • Total expenditure of the Foundation for a fiscal year within the biennium will not exceed $1600.
  • There is no deadline for submitting a grant application.
  • Two months will be the turnaround time between submission of the grant request, its approval by the Trustees, and the subsequent awarding of the grant.
  • The Bond will carry all announcements concerning the grant awards, recipients, and projects.
  • The most recent grant recipient will be asked to prepare a 15" x 22" poster on foam-core highlighting the grant activities. This poster should be mailed to the Executive Office and will be displayed at the KE exhibit booth during the APhA and ASHP Pharmacy Expositions. In even-numbered years a final progress report (one-page synopsis) will be due in the Executive Office by June 30 for grants awarded within the last year.
  • In odd-numbered years a final progress report, (one-page synopsis), will be presented to the Foundation Trustees and the delegates/attendees during the biennial KE National Convention; a 15” x 22” poster is required as well.  This poster may also be used at the KE Exhibit booth during the APhA and ASHP Expositions.
  • Completion of the progress reporting requirements will ensure the eligibility of the recipient for “renewal grants.” (Reminder: Project must have educational component).
