Starting a Collegiate Chapter

A collegiate chapter may be established at a college/school of pharmacy that is a member in good standing with the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) and has been accredited by or is in candidate status with the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).

Steps to Starting a Collegiate Chapter:

  • Identify a group of at least 10 students who are interested in establishing a chapter of Kappa Epsilon.
  • Receive approval from the school’s administration and follow the procedures of the university in order to be recognized as an official organization.
  • Submit a letter of interest and request for colonization. The letter must include the following:
    • A signed statement of support from the school’s administration, usually from the Dean or the Assistant/Associate Dean
    • A list of at least 10 people who are interested in organizing
    • An Advisor selected according to university policy
    • The contact information for the group (mailing address, e-mail address, and phone number)
  • Upon approval by Grand Council, serve a 12-month period as a colony of Kappa Epsilon

Please contact the Executive Office or the President-Elect for additional information.
