Steps to Starting an Alumni Chapter:

Petition for Charter

• Gather at least 5 alumni, professional, and/or alumni affiliate members to write and sign a petition for charter. Include each member's chapter of initiation, address, email address and proposed name for the chapter. Current alumni chapter names are reflective of the area, e.g. Greater Kansas City, Phoenix, Indiana. You may want to keep the name regional, in case there are other areas within the State for another chapter to form.
• Contact many potential members, but be content to start with a few, to get the ball rolling. Some members may really want to be a part of the initial charter.
• Give the contacted members a deadline date to sign the charter.
• If possible, plan a fun event, as simple as dessert at someone's home, for everyone to gather and sign the charter. It's a great opportunity to renew friendships and plan chapter events.

Dues

• Members signing the charter must be current with National dues. Please include dues payment for those that have not paid National dues for the current year. Dues are as follows:

  Alumni on rotation	$47
  First year after graduation	$60
  Second year after graduation	$75
  Thereafter	$85

• Local alumni chapter dues may be set and colleted as determined by the chapter.

Charter Fee Options

• For a printed charter and ritual materials: $100
• For a printed charter only: $50
• For charter to be kept at the Executive Office: $0
